A slow-motion carve from the inside section on a small, clean day. Most of the session happened on the inside, where the chop is smaller and a crash costs less. Riders who stayed there rode twice as long.
Once the tide dropped, the sandbar created a flat lane that was perfect for practice. We lined up, took turns and filmed each attempt.
Nobody got it right straight away. The breakthrough came after a short break on the beach, talking through what the video showed.
