Forty knots, rolling swell and a handful of riders who stayed out. The outer reef gives a clean ramp when the swell stands up. Timing the swell and the kite together takes a few runs to find.
Every big jump started with a check downwind. A clear landing zone matters more than the height number on the tracker.

I would add one thing: always check the forecast twice on the day.
