Wind sports clips, photo galleries and honest gear notes from riders who chase the forecast.

Gustline collects fresh kite, wing, windsurf and paragliding sessions every week. Pick a sport on the left or dive into the latest uploads below.

Why We Stopped Chasing Every Gust

A season of driving to marginal forecasts taught us more about patience than about riding. Practise rescues on a calm day, close to shore, with a friend watching. The first time should never be the real time.

The drill, step by step

Most rescues our volunteers perform are for riders who were simply too tired to get back upwind.

  • Practise on calm days first
  • Stay with your equipment
  • Signal early, not late
  • Carry a hook knife

The best rescue is the one you never need because you came in ten minutes earlier.

Priya Nair, Gustline crew

Staying with your kit makes you far easier to spot, and it floats better than you do.

The short version

Every drill ended with a short debrief on the beach, and each one was faster than the last.

This is exactly what I needed before my trip next month. Saving it.

I would add one thing: always check the forecast twice on the day.

The photos are unreal. Which lens were you using?
