How a winch tow gets pilots airborne where there is no hill. A steady onshore breeze along the dune made for easy soaring. Pilots kept a wide spacing and passed each other with the ridge on the right.
Everyone who flew landed with a grin and a new list of things to practise.
The first climb of the day usually comes from the darkest, driest ground in full sun. Rock faces and car parks work well by late morning.

Our club ran the same drill on Sunday. Everyone was much faster by the end.
